EsMini Tool v3.1 – Feature Details

EsMini Tool v3.1 is a unified firmware that combines UART diagnostics, IR remote emulation and learning, TV service mode shortcuts and TCON PMIC adjustment into a single, portable toolkit.

This page focuses on how the firmware is organised, how modes behave, and how to prepare your SD card – without going into board-level pinout details.

2. Main Modes in v3.1

  • UART Terminal – Serial console up to 1 Mbps, chip presets, SD-card command lists and custom entry.
  • IR Remote – Emulate TV remotes using profiles in /RC.
  • TV Service – Brand-specific IR sequences to open hidden service menus quickly.
  • TCON V-Adj – PMIC tool for reading, adjusting and backing up TCON voltages.
  • IR Decoder – View IR protocol, address, command and raw data.
  • Add Remote – Learn a physical remote and save it as a profile in /RC.

3. Keypad Layout & Global Navigation

The EsMini Tool uses a 3×3 keypad. The exact hardware wiring can vary by build, but logically the buttons are arranged as:

Col 1Col 2Col 3
Row 1MENUUPBACK
Row 2LEFTOKRIGHT
Row 3SOURCEDOWNPOWER

Long press BACK (≈2s) – return to Home from anywhere.
Long press MENU (≈2s) – context menu or special action, depending on mode.

4. SD Card Structure

v3.1 expects a simple, consistent folder layout on the SD card. You can let the firmware create folders automatically, or create them manually:

/RC # IR Remote definition files (.txt)
/SM # TV Service Mode sequences (.txt)
/ESMINI/CMD # UART command lists (cmd.txt)
/ESMINI/TCON # Saved PMIC dumps (encrypted)

Place your remote profiles, service mode scripts and UART command lists into these folders to make them available in the corresponding menus inside the firmware.
