EsMini IR Learner v1.1 – Manual

The IR Learner firmware is a dedicated application that lets you capture IR codes from an existing remote and save them as a profile that the Main Tool firmware can replay.

The keypad navigation, folder layout and text entry screens are similar to the main firmware, so if you know v3.1 you will feel at home.

2. Basic Learning Flow

  • Start the learner firmware via bootloader (Add Remote mode).
  • Enter brand and model names using keypad text entry.
  • Follow prompts to capture keys such as POWER, VOL+, VOL−, CH+, CH−, etc.
  • Each key is captured twice to verify consistency; mismatches will ask you to retry.

3. Saving & Using with Main Tool

  • Select a folder under /RC on the SD card to save the new profile.
  • The file is written in the EsMini remote text format.
  • Reboot into the Main Tool firmware and choose “Use Remote” to load the saved profile.
